Accident and Emergency - this service have been replaced by a new children’s Accident and Emergency Service
at North Manchester General Hospital. There is also a Paediatric Emergency Department at the New Children’s Hospital

Specialist Services - Out-patient clinics and In-patient services have moved to the New Children’s Hospital in Central Manchester.
Out-patients - Some Out-patient clinics have moved to North Manchester.
Specialist Out-patient clinics are provided in the Out-patient Department at the New Children’s Hospital.

The Acute Referral Unit - There is now a new service called PANDA (Paediatric Assessment and Decision Area) at Salford Royal Hospital.
This enables children to be observed for up to 24 hours. There is also a Paediatric Emergency Department at the New Children’s Hospital.
Specialist Services - Out-patient clinics and In-patient services have now moved to the New Children’s Hospital in Central Manchester.
Out-patients - Some Out-patient clinics have moved to Salford. Specialist Out-patient clinics are provided
in the Out-patient Department at the New Children’s Hospital.
Critical Care - The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is one of the leading centres in the North West and the largest general PICU in the UK.
It admits patients from premature babies to 16th birthday, from a wide range of medical and surgical specialties where the patient requires intensive care facilities. This service has moved to Oxford Road where there are 17 beds at the New Children’s Hospital.
